Heralding a new focus on the environment in the post-Covid world, the young German brand Alva Yachts is launching an advanced range of sailing yachts (but also sustainable catamarans and luxury floating homes).
The OCEAN SAIL 82, designed by HENNDESIGN needs to be the most self-sufficient yacht of its size. It boasts innovative features such as a state-of-the-art rig, hybrid propulsion and a high-capacity battery bank allowing the boat to generate totally renewable energy under sail.
The key design features are the clean and clear outlines. The most obvious thing that comes up when you look at the OCEAN SAIL 82 is the clean deck solution and the racing hull. From the first day, the Alva Yachts goal was set to make the best performance yacht possible. Therefore it was essential to combine a hull that is influenced by the shape of racing hulls with a comfortable decks layout.
Alva Yachts story
Alva Yachts was developed in early 2020 from the former company PICA Yachts. At this point, Pica has already had 6 years of experience in the development, construction and marketing of smaller electric driven sailing- and motor yachts. By the beginning of 2020, over 40 boats had been sold.
Since the founding of Alva Yachts, the company owners start building luxury luxury yachts to meet the growing market for environmental friendly living space on the water.
The design and development of the yachts is carried out by the renowned design office HENNDESIGN. Its owner Holger Henn is also co-founder of Alva Yachts.
