Sailing Nandji – Ep 43, Fires and Boats don’t mix!!

In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we arrive safely into Noumea, New Caledonia, but we have quite the scare on arrival. Our engine room started to puff out smoke and upon inspection a serious fire was smouldering.

With quick thinking from Bonita, we isolated the energy source and controlled a very serious situation from turning even worse. We decide to relax for a day and enjoy the fact we had arrived after 9 days at sea before tackling the issues on Nandji. This time was wise and allowed us to think clearly and work through the damage and resolve all the issues! With that being done, it was time to enjoy this little slice of paradise. It is off to fulfill a few dreams and make them reality!
