Contest 55CS, The Generation 2.0 Of Dutch Bluewaters Revealed
The Dutch specialist in semi-custom constructions Contest Yachts presents for the very first time the brand new 17-metre Contest 55CS at Boot Dusseldorf 2020.
Don’t call it “simply” a bluewater yacht. The stunning lines both above and below water from star German designers Judel/Vrolijk shall ensure a real sporty character.
See the modern sea-going hull form with buoyant plumb bow and tapered forward sections flaring aft into a widened stern with underbody and foils so well balanced for big sea comfort.
The same character that you can see looking her swept and lipped superstructure styling.
The Lloyd’s tested and approved introduction of carbon fibre into key structural elements in the single shot vacuum injection moulding process that so increases strength for weight. This contributes also to reducing size of some structural componentry, opening more outboard space for increased accommodation.
We’re proud of what we do at Contest Yachts. We’re a family run firm and last year celebrated our 60th anniversary. We see yachting as a way of determining, expressing your own dreams and ambitions. Which is why we build not just high-quality yachts.Contest Yachts
Don’t miss the integral A-frame forward for flying asymmetric with no bobstay so making for easy anchoring.
A newly conceived interior styling now features an even bigger flowing corner radius to the exquisitely finished timber work. There are also now more optional hull windows in up to four stations along the yacht’s length.
Se were also impressed by the panoramic rear viewing window set in the master suite’s aft bulkhead. With reveal-panel slid open and transom garage door lowered, this gives a simply fabulous wide-angle seascape view straight through.
The Contest Yachts current range includes nine sailing yachts from 13 to 26 metres: the Contest 42CS, 45CS, 50CS, 55CS, 57CS, 62CS, 67CS, 72CS and 85CS
