This year Les Voiles de St Tropez celebrates its 17th year, and is guaranteed to close the Mediterranean yachting season in style in the beautiful setting of St Tropez.
Originating since 1999, the Société Nautique de St Tropez, Les Voiles de St Tropez 2015 will again organise a spectacular regatta this year. Approximately 300 of the world’s most impressive sailing yachts, both of the classic and contemporary style, will race on a course which skirts along the breath-taking coast of the bay of St Tropez in a bid to win the prestigious Rolex Trophy.
Contemporary sailing yachts participating will take part in five days of thrilling races, while traditional yachts will complete four days of fleet races. At the events close, a prize-giving ceremony to acknowledge the winners will take place in the exquisite 16th century Citadelle that overlooks the port.
As well as international visitors, sailing enthusiasts gather in St Tropez to enjoy the regatta first-hand alongside the social events which take place ashore. The Grand Villages provides the ideal setting from which to absorb the atmosphere of Voiles de St Tropez, featuring a bar terrace and daily entertainment including the crew procession and the famous ‘Sardinade’ (fish fry).
