Sailing to remote places and living from the land is a part of the boat life that we seek. At first, fish are scared of you, but the longer you remain still, everything around you becomes curious as wildlife swims closer. Spearfishing is a sustainable form of hunting as we are selective in the fish we choose to eat… I wait patiently conserving energy and eagerly looking for my target species to pay me a visit. I try all my tricks to try and entice the bigger fish close enough as I am blinded by the school of surgeon fish circling around me… The challenge of spearfishing is addictive, it is challenging and the rewards of getting food to feed the family drives you even more.
