Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 350, The Pleasure of Cruising with Family

After the remarkable success of the Sun Odyssey 349, which debuted in 2013 and achieved nearly 1,000 sales, Jeanneau unveils its worthy successor: the Sun Odyssey 350. This latest addition to the Sun Odyssey line boasts a myriad of features and optimized functionalities designed to captivate both cruising and performance enthusiasts.

Scheduled for its global debut at the Dusseldorf Boat Show from January 20th to 28th, 2024, this new sailboat enters the highly competitive market of 35-foot sailboats, as Jeanneau remains committed to introducing the joys of the sea with the launch of the Sun Odyssey 350.

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 350

Crafted by the renowned naval architecture firm Lombard Yacht Design and the design agency Piaton Yacht Design, the Sun Odyssey 350 embodies the brand’s core principles: user-friendly design, high performance, and a sense of tranquility.

A powerful and stable chined hull, featuring an inverted bow for enhanced performance and twin rudders for maximum stability, gives the sailboat a distinctive modern look.

The elongated, integrated bowsprit serves a dual purpose, extending the anchor forward and providing an excellent tack point for reaching and downwind sails, such as the Code 0 and asymmetric spinnaker—a true advantage for efficiency and performance. The Sun Odyssey 350 caters to diverse owners with several keel versions, including deep draught (1.98 m), shoal draught (1.49 m), or swing-keel draught (1.26 m – 5.4 m). Additionally, an electric propulsion version is available for sailing in sheltered waters.

The Sun Odyssey 350’s deck plan is carefully designed for secure and enjoyable sailing, featuring twin helms optimized for easy movement, a spacious cockpit for making memories with friends and family, and walk-around side decks for fluid and safe onboard navigation. The innovative deck plan contributes to more intuitive sail handling, preserving the cockpit as a central island with a protective coaming. Off-centred aft helms with twin steering wheels provide greater comfort and improved forward visibility for the helmsperson, while handrails on the coachroof ensure safe passage for the crew. With 30° swept spreaders and no backstay, the rigging enables the helmsperson to sail comfortably while seated at the twin helms in the aft corners of the boat.

Available in two configurations—two cabins plus a workshop or three cabins—the Sun Odyssey 350 boasts a modern interior design and a range of comfort amenities. The atmosphere is welcoming and thoughtfully arranged, featuring gentle, rounded edges. Natural light floods the interior space, thanks to expansive windows in both the hull and coachroof.

A broad three-step companionway facilitates seamless access to and from the interior, promoting hospitality and interaction with guests. The L-shaped starboard galley is not only contemporary but also highly functional, providing numerous clever storage compartments. In the port-side saloon, an appealing chart table with comfortable bench seating awaits, or you can choose an alternative layout with a daybed for ultimate relaxation.

Each cabin is efficiently designed, incorporating a storage locker and comfortable berths. Abundant natural light fills every cabin through numerous windows in the hull. The sailboat features a spacious shower and head compartment, which are separate in the two-cabin version.
