Sailing Nandji Ep 107. After successfully clearing back into Indonesia, we head to sea on a upwind passage South to the island of Rote in search of some surf for Yosh. There is a strong opposing current which makes sailing upwind difficult in the light conditions, throw a few ships in the mix and everything becomes exciting!
We visit the busy local market and load up on supplies. Walking through town resembles a free range farm as the goats, chickens, pigs and cows roam where they feel. Exploring the island by Indonesias favourite transport, the Scooter! We discover some beautiful white sandy beaches and return the following day so Yosh can have his first surf in 6 months! Not wasting time though, it is back to sea we go heading West to Malaysia where we plan to install our new engine!
