If one bottle of water made it into the sea, how long would it take to fully decompose? An example? Plastic bags we use in our everyday life take 10-1000 years to decompose, while plastic bottles can take 450 years or more.

I’m impressed that someone has taken the time to statisize this but I think your research is faulty. Metal with iron in it won’t last very long at all in a salt environment and aluminum oxidizes far faster than 400 years! Plastic, that’s the bugger – it lasts far to long to be flung into the ocean! Glass well that’s an element it won’t go away period.
