Sunreef Yachts announces a significant milestone in the construction of the Sunreef 43M Eco, set to become the world’s largest eco electric catamaran. The shipyard in Gdańsk, Poland – has successfully completed the composite hull infusion process, marking it as the biggest single-shot hull infusion project in the yachting industry.
The Sunreef 43M Eco hull measures an impressive 43 meters in length and 15.4 meters in width, encompassing a total composite surface area of 1,700 mq. This innovative design features a custom-engineered foam core that minimizes weight while maximizing performance. The unmolding of the hull is scheduled for completion by the end of this year.
The hull will incorporate over 120 m² of integrated solar panels, contributing to a total of 250 m² across the entire yacht. This advanced solar technology, combined with electric propulsion, will redefine the superyacht experience, making it cleaner, more responsible, and energy-efficient.
We achieved an important milestone on our journey to build a truly groundbreaking yacht. The scale of the hull infusion project is unique in the industry and underscores our pioneering role in shaping the future of energy-efficient yachting“, says Francis Lapp, Sunreef Yachts Founder and President.
In addition to its avant-gardist solar technology, the Sunreef 43M Eco will be equipped with a hydrogeneration system. This system will provide a steady supply of clean power while under sail, ensuring an emissions-free cruising experience. The yacht’s energy storage system will be based on solid-state batteries providing a capacity of 1MWh.
The Sunreef 43M Eco is designed to accommodate up to 12 guests, offering luxurious living spaces and customizable features that cater to individual preferences. With its advanced technologies and eco-friendly solutions, this yacht represents a new era in sustainable yachting.
