Published in April 2019 for the fiftieth anniversary of the voyage, this archive item recalls Robin Knox-Johnston’s return to Falmouth on 22 April 1969. He had left the same port aboard Suhaili on 14 June 1968 and completed the first solo non-stop circumnavigation after 312 days at sea.
The video, First Look: Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, Sailing Legend, is published by the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. It is presented here as part of the 2019 anniversary archive; the fifty-year reference in the original title refers to that publication year.
