Sunreef Yachts reveals the first photos of the solar-electric Sunreef 80 Eco under navigation in Dubai. The luxury catamaran is a fully-autonomous model using green tech for fuel-free cruising in total silence.
The Sunreef 80 Eco has ultralight composite-integrated solar panels built into the hull sides, mast, superstructure, and bimini roof. Thanks to Sunreef Yachts’ proprietary solar power system, the Sunreef 80 Eco can generate up to 32kWp. Covering a total area of 164m² solar panels can be integrated with various composite structures of the yacht including the mast, boom, superstructure and hull sides.
Equipped with advanced electric engines and a hydro-generation system, the 80 Eco provides the smoothest e-motoring experience and is able to generate energy while under sail.
The catamaran’s smart energy management system along with custom-engineered batteries and innovative air conditioning provides top energy efficiency for a sustainable cruising experience.
The 80 Eco was given a custom 4-cabin layout with contemporary décor and much emphasis on sports and entertainment.
