For the end of the season in Northern Europe and timed for delivery in time for the 2016 season, Dehler is adding another new model to its range: the new Dehler 42 impresses with its combination of power and dynamics. The Dehler 42 has a total length of 12.40 m, a waterline length of 11.50 m and a width of 3.93 m. Three keel versions are available: Standard T-keel with 2.15 m, competition T-keel with 2.40 m and an L-shape keel with 1.98 m. The yacht is controlled with two steering wheels.
The sporty attitude is emphasized with an inserted 2-spreader mast, which is positioned on the keel, absorbs the occurring loads optimally, and distributes them over the entire floor structure. The bottom structure is reinforced with carbon fibre and has an extremely high rigidity – we call this the Dehler Carbon Cage.
Some details were taken from the successful models Dehler 38 and 46, such as the exterior in the round and appealing shapes of the roof structure, the window design with aluminum trim above, as well as the hull shape with a steep stern and wide rear.
A holder for the plotter is optionally available on the helm stand, the round shapes of the cockpit coaming flow visually into each other, which creates an ergonomic shape and provides an additional comfortable seating area with support for the back for the crew. The open stern of the cockpit can be closed with a bathing platform. A composite bowsprit is optionally available on the bow. This significantly improves the sailing characteristics with a Code Zero or gennaker.
The interior impresses with up to three cabins and up to two comfortable wet areas. The saloon impresses with a large U-shaped sofa, a generous L-shaped pantry and a navigation table. The patented “Uni Door” solution is used in the rear wet area – one door can either separate the entire WC area from the saloon, or swivel to separate the washbasin area from the toilet and the shower. This creates a separate shower area in the wet area. The cabins are equipped with generous berths.
The Dehler 42 is priced at €169,900 net (€202,181 gross incl. 19% VAT). The first boat should be ready by January 2016 and will celebrate its premiere at the “boot 2016” in Düsseldorf.
