The Aira 22 is a versatile all-rounder for small budgets built by Netherlands-based Aira Boats and designed by Simonis-Voogd.
The Aira 22, designed as a classic touring dinghy, is available in three different versions. The Aira 22 ClubSailer is a training boat, which is available with a robust rubber boat strake and rubberized nose.
This version of the 6.50 m long boat is specially designed for clubs, sailing schools, and boat rental companies. It has plenty of storage space under the cockpit seats and in the forward cabin and is available with a flat keel (0.90 m) or lifting keel (1.15 m).
Aira 22, sailing with the family
The DaySailer version of the Aira 22 is particularly suitable for relaxed sailing with family and friends. Equipped with seat cushions, padded backrests, and a swivel table, this version allows you to sail comfortably on the water.
On request, you can also order a cockpit tarpaulin, a slatted frame for the cabin, and a 2 x 1.40 m air mattress, which even allows overnight stays on board. An electric engine with 1.5 kW, that can be deployed electrically in seven seconds, rounds off the DaySailer version.
For sailing fun
In the MatchRacer version, this sailboat comes without an engine but with a 25 sqm gennaker and gennaker system to adapt the boat for racing. Thanks to the long waterline and the modern lines, the Aira 22 has very good sailing characteristics and is very stable even upwind.
She offers sailing fun for up to six people and is easy to trailer due to her compact size. Therefore, it is a very flexible boat when it comes to the question where you want to go sailing next.
