The HH Catamarans Ocean Series takes the performance platform of the carbon fiber Supercats to create a blue-water, luxury cruising catamaran designed for world touring and bay living.
The original carbon fiber Supercats series are built to be regatta ready yet with the comforts of home. Whilst retaining the build quality and Morrelli & Melvin signature contours and lines, the new HH Catamarans Ocean Series is designed for a different sailing experience.
These yachts are built to be ocean tough, muscular yet graceful, and ready to take you cruising the Caribbean or sailing around the globe in comfort and ease. The focus is on taking the owners touring in style through great spacious interiors and comfortable living spaces.
HH Catamarans Ocean Series are designed by Morrelli & Melvin, which means they remain powerful and ready when needed, to outrun the storm and take you to safe harbor.
How does the HH Catamarans Ocean Series differ from the carbon fibre Supercats?
The biggest difference is in the hulls. By using e-glass, the yard has shifted the design focus toward comfortable and safe blue-water cruising and in the process, brought the cost down by a considerable amount. The daggerboards have been exchanged for fixed keels in the hull with an alloy mast.
HH Catamarans OC50, the first model
The first design ready to go into production will be the OC50. This catamaran features a very spacious general arrangement. The large saloon offers a generous sized galley to starboard with an L-shaped counter.
Ample seating around a large dining table and a dedicated navigation station to port with cold storage and an L-shaped sofa forward. Standard options include a three or four cabin layout with master suite in the port hull aft.
Deck layout and sailing systems have been designed with the owner in mind. The OC50 will have a single helm station with raised bimini starboard aft, that will provide excellent visibility and allow the helmsman total sail control.
All HH Catamarans Oceans Series catamarans will have fixed keels allowing the boat to comfortably navigate shallow waters.
The design brief for the HH Catamarans Ocean Series allows for significant cost reduction in comparison to the all-carbon HH Catamarans models. Composite sandwich construction with e-glass, rather than carbon fibre, hull and deck will be standard, with all high load areas reinforced with carbon fibre.
