Lorenzo De Simone is an italian young photographer. He made a documentary to tell Pantelleria, one of the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean Sea through his photographs. An exciting job…
“Between the end of May and first days of June I decided to get away from Milan for a six days of real, total relax. I’m a freelance photographer and for this reason I left my heavy backpack at home…Nikon cameras and lenses far from me for a little while…hard, but necessary sometimes!
The fact is that for my little holiday I decided to go to Pantelleria Island, a little paradise nearest to Africa than Sicily…I understood soon, during the first transfer in scooter from the little airport to my apartment, how amazing this island is.
Beautiful landscapes, a huge amount of tiny (because of the strong wind), green vineyards, wonderfully coloured rocks and coastline, little villages like ghost town full of “dammusi”, the typical stone houses in Pantelleria, the deep blue and shallow water of the sea…
I missed the Nikon just for a second…relax: I’ve got the phone! So, enjoying this days, I could however fix that atmosphere so coarse but exclusive in the meantime. Have a look!”
