PortsToronto presents Sail-In Cinema โ„ข, the worldโ€™s first two-sided floating movie experience.

On August 18-20, 2016 Canadaโ€™s Sugar Beach will transform into Torontoโ€™s largest outdoor theatre. Movies will be shown under the open skies on a two-sided screen set atop a barge in Toronto Harbour. You can watch movies for free from Sugar Beach or Lake Ontario.

If youโ€™ve got your sea legs, you can come to the movies by boat and drop anchor. If youโ€™re a landlubber, bring a chair, a cushion or a picnic blanket.

The inaugural Sail-In Cinema โ„ข was held in 2011 to mark PortsToronto centennial year. Sail-In-Cinema 2015 was the largest on record with over 11,000 people on-land and over 100 boats in attendance over 3 days.

Sail-In Cinemaโ„ข is now a permanent fixture on Torontoโ€™s summer calendar.

For three nights in August, Sugar Beach will be transformed into Torontoโ€™s largest outdoor theatre where lovers of film and the outdoors alike can watch movies on a two-sided screen anchored to a barge on Lake Ontario. From August 15 to 17 Torontonians, their families and friends, will be able to enjoy movies from land or boat, starting at dusk (approximately 8:45 p.m.) on each of the three nights. The two-sided screen 700-pound screen is four stories tall and will sit on a 60 x 90 foot floating barge. Join us for the most unique movie experience in Toronto!
