The CQ6 is concentrated technology at just 5.81 metres in length

Its aggressive and sporty water-lines are reminiscent of those of the VO70, the โ€œmonsterโ€ at more than 21 metres in length and its challenger in the Volvo Ocean Race, the historic round the world race. The CQ6 is concentrated technology, at just 5.81 metres in length, a sail surface that with the gennaker exceeds 50 square metres, a slim bow and the set back main beam with a stern edge that is almost sharp.

The resemblance to a marine racing car is also seen below the hull in the canting keel and central canard. An innovation that is no mean feat on a boat of this size created by the Dutch based LinQ Boats owned by Jurian Rademaker, the team technician for ABM AMBRO and designer of tilting keels.

The commands located on the end of the rudder stick vary the keelโ€™s inclination to maximise stability depending on the wind and speed. The CQ6 is suitable to both expert sailors and those just setting out who are looking for the upmost in sailing excitement.

This boat was made with one goal: To bring the most advanced sailing technologies together in a compact, well-priced performance sports boat. The CQ-6 is easy to handle with the thrill of sailing a true canting keeler. The boat planes at low wind speeds. The design is extreme but the boat is very stable due to its wide and powerful hull shape.ย
